recipe: chicken pillows

how cute is the name of this dish.
i have loved chicken pillows since...forever!
my mom used to make them because they were fast and easy...
and ohhhh so yummy.

chicken pillows are a well loved favorite
at home and at work (for the kids i nanny for)!

chicken pillows

2 c. diced, cooked chicken
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. finely chopped garlic
1 tsp. oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp. salt
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. crescent rolls
4 oz. softened cream cheese
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 c. chopped onion, optional
melted butter

combine chicken, cream cheese, 2 tablespoons melted butter, milk, lemon juice, onion, garlic, oregano, and salt. divide each package rolls into 4 pieces. pat each piece into 6 inch squares. place some of the chicken mixture on each square. cover with another square, pressing corners together. brush with melted butter and coat top with bread crumbs. bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 6.
